Makers' Market Christmas 2022
A big thank you to everyone who came along to the fabulous Makers’ Market at the Eden Centre to raise funds to help us run our local advice centre - thanks to the stall holders, our volunteers for helping with stewarding, Andy from the Eden Church for running the cafe, the Eden Songsters for entertaining us and everyone who came along to buy the lovely local crafts - as well as Peter from the Friends of EWCA, Anita from the Chamber of Commerce and Sandi & Steph at the Eden Centre for organising the event.

The winners of the March 2022 '100 Club' draw are:
Earlier this year we sent out leaflets to 9,400 homes, resulting in generous donations, new members of the Friends and the 100 Club. Together with the continued support of existing members and donors this has enabled the Friends to make a grant of £3,500 to Citizens Advice with another grant of £3,500 due to follow at a later date.
Future Events
We are pleased to announce a special event the Friends have organised that will be taking place in May to raise the awareness of local makers of craft, food, produce, art, textiles, handmade clothing, ceramics, jewellery, upcycling, plants and music and all things handmade, homemade and handcrafted in the Edenbridge area. Thanks to everyone who supported our sweets tombola at the Motor Show on 12th September, we raised £104 for Edenbridge and Westerham Citizens Advice.
Grant award for debt advice training
We are also delighted to announce that The Friends have been awarded a £2000 grant by Kent County Councillors, Margot McArthur for Edenbridge and Nick Chard for Westerham from their Covid-19 Local Recovery fund to provide debt advice training for volunteer advisers.
